Radios at Fagen WWII Museum in Granite Falls, MN

Recently One of our members took a trip to Granite Falls, MN to the Fagen WWII War Museum at the KGDB Airport. This is a donation run museum and is fantastic for lovers of War history, Radios, Military and Aviation. Here are some of the (not all) radios we saw:

BC-1306 SCR 694 W.W.II Jeep Setup

The SCR-694 is a HF two-way radio Receiver / Transmitter and radio telegraph unit which can provide communication between moving or stationary vehicles, or as a portable field radio set. The radio set can provide communication for up to 15 miles on voice (AM) and 30 miles on (CW) between moving vehicles, and a much longer range if used in stationary position with a long antenna. Frequency range is 3,800 kHz - 6,500 Khz. Uses tubes and works from 6, 12 or 24 Volts DC.

There was also a briefing room with a radio operators table as well:

Frequency meter FR-5u

Frequency Meter FR-114U - MILITARY U.S.

Hewlett Packard 522B Electronic Counter

R-274D Military Receiver (SX-73 Version). 6 Bands .54 to 54 MHz, Single Conversion .54 to 7 MHz / Double Conversion 7-54 MHz, 19 Tubes, IF Freq 455 KHz and 6 MHz. AC Input from 95VAC - 260VAC, 50/60Hz, 120 Watts, 58 lbs. Production year 1952.

And here is a view of the operators table with even more radios.

If you are looking for a fun trip I would highly suggest heading to Granite Falls, MN.
